Tips to Improve As a TF2 Scout

To improve your skills as a Scout one of the most important tips you'll ever receive is to learn how to use your speed to its fullest potential. This will give you a big advantage over the other players. In addition to your speed, it's recommended that you learn how to prefect the double-jump.

* It can help you reach areas that other players could never reach.
* It can also help you to travel faster by allowing you to take shortcuts found on the maps.
* You can also use it to sneak up behind the enemy.

It's a good idea to learn the maps so you can remember where the health packs are located since the Scout has low health and can be killed quickly. You will be in need of these health packs more often than you would like and you won't have time to run around trying to figure out where they're located.

It's for this reason that you need to be careful when attacking an enemy player. Attack when the enemy is preoccupied so they won't hit you with their full power.

Take advantage of the Medic and let him heal you whenever possible. For whatever reason, some players tend to avoid calling out to the Medic but that's what they're there for.

**Remember that since you move so fast, it can be difficult for the Medic to target you to heal you. If you're calling for medic, try to hold still for them to heal you more easily.

You're a team and they can heal you just like they do the heavies and other classes. Otherwise, you may find yourself being killed fairly quickly when hit by enemy fire. You want to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible so you can gather information and help lead your team to victory.

Anytime you encounter a Sentry you need to try and destroy it. This can be done if the Engineer is not taking care of it or if your team has a spy that has sapped the Sentry and rendered it useless for awhile. If it's protected by an Engineer then you will need to be very careful to avoid getting killed. Scouts can be very productive when working together with small groups along the front line. So get together with other members of your team and work to eliminate the enemy. This will benefit the whole team when you're not out getting useful information about the enemy.
